Little Kids
I'm always being followed by little kids wherever I go. Maybe it's because I go to places where little kids follow people around.

I met this kid with the cool hat while doing a three day trek along the Bandiagara Escarpment in Mali. He's a Dogon boy. Dogon kids are not shy about asking for things. Every time little kids saw us they would run up and shout out, bonjour ca ba, bic, bon bon, cadeaux (hello, how are you, pen, sweet, gifts!)!

We also took a pinasse trip along the Niger, and stopped along the shore for one of those mysterious African errands that take forever to accomplish and you are never sure what kind of transaction took place anyways. So we collected quite the crowd of little kids. I also saw a guy holding the leashes of about 15 petrified dogs who looked destined for the pot.

The dogon boy is a beautiful photo and if not reading makes you as happy as the little chappy with the drums, then I am renouncing my reading abilities immediately!
